Technical Skills

Through my coursework at DePaul University, I’ve developed technical skills in Information Technology and Web Development. I’ve worked with programming, databases, web applications, and development tools through various class projects. I’m continuing to build these skills as I prepare for a career in technology.

Web Development

I’ve gained experience building and managing websites using WordPress and working with React to create interactive web applications. Through these projects, I’ve practiced organizing website content, creating reusable components, customizing layouts, and improving website functionality. I’ve also worked with navigation menus, responsive design, and website accessibility.

Programming

Through my coursework, I’ve gained programming experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and PL/SQL. I’ve practiced writing code, troubleshooting errors, and solving technical problems through hands-on assignments. I’ve also worked with databases using Java and SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

Development Tools & Technologies

I’ve gained hands-on experience using development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git, GitHub, and Docker. Through my coursework, I’ve practiced version control, managing repositories, working with containers, and testing applications. I’ve also worked with Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized applications. These tools have helped me better understand software development workflows and how applications are built and maintained.
